Holy cow. I mean seriously. April 9th? God damn. Where the hell did January, February and March go?!
I have been swamped lately. School work, work work, first job, second job, mom issues, girlfriend issues (not bad ones, just issues lol). AND. Now I'm getting sick. For realz. Like... my spine is on strike, my sinuses are kicking the shit out of me and my lungs are screaming "FUCK YOU" and shriveling up. I've got a cough, phlegm like you wouldn't believe, a dry mouth and about as much energy as a dying sloth.
And on top of all that, did I mention I'm working 38 and a half hours JUST at Home Depot this week? Not to mention I have to get my ass over to U of M tomorrow for a poetry reading, I have a dentist's appointment next Tuesday, and if I have to cancel it (which I might have to), I have to go to a 'Take Back the Night' march on April 14th or 16th for my Women's studies class, or to GSA Ally Training on the 15th. I procrastinate WAY too effing much.
BUT, the semester is ending very soon! I've got a few projects and things to finish up and studying to do for Japanese. (How do you tell the time again!?)
And damn. Time to go.
and the DB MOVIE! OMG! =D
And I am VERY behind on my drabble challenge. I did well for over half of it, so I'm satisfied. The next one will start up again on May 1st and last anywhere from 9 to 15 days depending. I really need to get on the ball here.
On a much lighter, happier note:
My birthday is in 20 days. =D
Even better, I got May 18-31 off from JoAnns and I talked to August and she said it shouldn't be a problem for me to get those days off at Home Depot either. I'll have my trip finalized by
Friday, April 11 at 11:30 at the latest, so when I FINALLY get the plane tickets, I'm sure you'll all hear about it via a very spazzy LJ journal.
If anyone actually reads this and is interested, I'll be posting the rest of the drabbles (1-30) when I finish them all, probably sometime around the middle of next week. It'll be a massive post sorted by fandom and pairing (not that that varies much) and I'm actually really excited to see it all put together. And I promise the next set will be on time and written better.
I'm also doing a series of journal entries of characters from
Casualties of War, the prequel to Deus ex Machina. I'll post those here as well. They're for my Creative Writing class, so if they're a bit flowery, that's why. I'm hopefully going to get serious about starting
Deus ex Machina this summer. I'm still not sure if I'm going to write
Casualties as a separate book or if it'll just be a short prequel in DeM.
Also! I've gotten several major plot points figured out for Deus ex Machina, which is INCREDIBLY EXCITING. For the longest time I've been struggling with Kaje's character development and why he is so concerned with killing the Darklings and preventing the "plague" from spreading, and I'm almost positive I've gotten it figured out. Kaje is going to undergo some MAJOR plastic surgery both inside and out and I'm going to work on integrating Zacharias and Raven into the story even more strongly. This is very exciting for me. <3
